Zuid Afrikaanse organisatie vraagt jouw ondersteuning om community leaders, studenten en pastors uit de Townships te kunnen trainen.
Mtiririko – Empowerment
Van 14 tot en met 16 april 2014 is het zover: dan ga ik met vijf andere trainers een seminar geven in Phuthaditjhaba, Zuid Afrika. Een driedaagse bijeenkomst waarin verbinding, netwerkversterking en empowerment centraal zullen staan. Ongeveer 150 pastors, studenten en community leaders uit de townships, komen dan bij elkaar in een seminar gewijd aan het uitwisselen van kennis en kunde om nieuwe oplossingen voor grote maatschappelijke problemen te vinden, zoals armoedebestrijding, aids, drugsgebruik, gezondheidszorg -aids en diabetes-, educatie, werkgelegenheid, criminaliteit etc..
Wij zijn zes Noord-Nederlandse trainers op het gebied van verandermanagement, systemisch werk, creatief denken, coaching en consultancy en theatertechnieken. Onze groep is uitgenodigd door de universiteit van Bloemfontein en de Shepperd Organization om dit seminar te verzorgen. We hebben ons verenigd onder de naam Mtiririko, hetgeen ‘flow’ en ‘commitment’ betekent in het Swahili.
De Zuid-Afrikaanse organisatie heeft in samenspraak met Mtiririko besloten haar beperkte beschikbare gelden voornamelijk in te zetten om de conferentie toegankelijk te maken voor zo veel mogelijk studenten en andere deelnemers met weinig geld (Gerhard Botha van de universiteit van Bloemfontein, in een brief aan de zes trainers: “As an African I do not have enough words to express my gratitude on behalf of people (students), that most probably will only have one meal today and are so eager to learn.”). Wij stellen daarom onze expertise belangeloos ter beschikking.
