U heeft er vast wel over gehoord; de Wonderfoon. De Wonderfoon is een oude PTT-telefoon (zo één met een draaischijf) die speciaal voor mensen met dementie is omgebouwd tot jukebox. Als men een nummer draait komt er een muziekje van vroeger uit de hoorn.
Onlangs bouwde Ron Buist, de zoon van een vrijwilligster, zo’n schitterende Wonderfoon voor Innersdijk. Mevrouw Bulthuis, die al enkele jaren in Innersdijk woont, mocht de Wonderfoon als eerste uitproberen. Dagblad van het Noorden was daarbij aanwezig en legde op video vast hoe mevrouw op de telefoon reageerde. Dat was fantastisch om te zien. Uit volle borst zong mevrouw Bulthuis mee met Ede Staal en het Groningse volkslied.
Het filmpje werd door duizenden en duizenden mensen bekeken. Naast Dagblad van het Noorden deelden ook RTV Noord en online platform Sikkom het filmpje. Op de Facebook, LinkedIn en Instagram pagina’s van Zorggroep Groningen kwamen er veel hartverwarmende reacties. De stroom aanvragen van andere zorgorganisaties is zó groot, dat Ron de telefoons thuis niet meer kan maken en tijdelijk gebruik gaat maken van een ruimte in Innersdijk.
